What a great story for this amazing family who have overcome so much adversity and obstacles over the last few years, but through their LOVE for each other, their amazing strength and incredible FAITH, they have overcome ALL and are on their way to BIGGER and BETTER things! I am so so so proud of this family and so humbled and blessed to have had the chance to be a part of their incredible journey!
Their story is SIMPLY ….. BEAUTIFUL AND INSPIRING! But it is private, so I will only be able to share with you small parts, but still should be enough to INSPIRE and hopefully help others, at least, to NOT GIVE UP and keep searching to find other ways to make it work and keep pushing forward!
Here is a short version :
- met them about 7 years ago when they were fairly new to this great country
- we were not able to help them purchase a home at that time because the banks were not able to provide them the necessary loan
- they were upside down on their home, but UNLIKE, most of us, they did not give up , they did not let the bank take the home and kept fighting to keep it
- they fought to keep the home and maintain their payments with very little income
- mom was diagnosed with cancer and could not work anymore, which started an extremely difficult period of treatment, recovery, medical bills, but most of all FAITH and SELF TREATMENT through an incredible path carried and executed by her AMAZING daughter
- once fully recovered without any major surgery, the family got back on track to accomplishing their goals
- we were able to sell their OVERSIZED home, which no longer was necessary, and downsized to this beautiful home that offers each member of the family what they TRULY needed and wanted to continue their journey!
I CANNOT WAIT to see what the future holds for them and I WISH THEM the ABSOLUTE BEST !
I am thankful and blessed to consider them FRIENDS, not just clients!
Thank you and see you soon 🙂
What a really great success story for another one of our 1st TIME HOME BUYERS! We started working with him over a year ago, looked a several ones until we found, what seemed to have been the right home for him. All went smooth with the transaction almost until the end, and just few days prior to closing, something in his situation changed and the loan could not be completed. Even though the news came as a very hard hit, David, with the help of his AMAZING mom, and continuous guidance from myself and our preferred lender, Peter Torneanu at All Western Mortgage, drafted an immediate plan to get things back on track. Fast forward, several months later, we were back on track and out looking for homes again. With some ups and downs along the way, we finally found the perfect home, a short sale, in need of lost of “Tender Loving Care”, which our client and his family are eager to get started on, this came at a nice discount and made the perfect home! I can’t wait to see what the finished product will be.
I love this story, because it is one of the rare times, when a deal goes south just before closing…. you hear about these from time to time but luckily we are not part of it very often. But the great story here, the moral of the story, is that even when things get so bad and it might feel there is no way you can purchase a home….. DON’T GIVE UP! Because we NEVER give up on you, hang in with our team, follow our suggestions, and we will get you back in position to be able to purchase your DREAM home.
We are here to help you, no matter at what point in the process you are at, call us, text, email, or simply leave a comment and we will be honored to have the opportunity to work with you.
CONGRATULATIONS David to your and your family for this great accomplishment and for not giving up.
WOW what an amazing family ! Our newest 1st Time HOME BUYERS have certainly overcome some incredible hurdles and hardships over the last few months prior to finding their DREAM Home. They have been renting for many years, a modest home where the landlord did not do very much for them in terms of requested repairs or improvements. It was an old home and was getting worse and worse. Unfortunately, the home caught on fire and completely burned to the ground, nothing but ashes. THANK GOD, no one was injured, most of the family were at work, and the ones that were home, were able to get out in time and save themselves. Sadly, all of their personal belongings were burned completely, there was nothing they could save. Most of all, some really emotional and sentimental items that were passed down from parents and grandparents…. unfortunately GONE forever….
It took the family several days to recover emotionally just enough to be able to reach out for help. They were ready to look for another rental property, as they thought that was their ONLY choice. However, we are blessed to receive a call from his boss at work, one of our many satisfied past clients, and asked if we could help them PURCHASE THEIR OWN HOME. It has been a great journey since, and our entire team along with everyone from his work, have come together to pitch in and help. People from his work were able to help them financially with hotel bills while we were out looking for a home for them. The lender had them pre qualified right away, and we were on the search immediately. We were able to find them the PERFECT DREAM HOME, absolutely beautiful home, MOVE IN ready, nicely upgraded with a Solar System in place to save them even more on utility cost.
So happy and proud of this family for their bravery, courage, and most of all their TRUST in us and our team to get them into their DREAM HOME after such an unfortunate event in their lives.
This truly has been an AMAZING and HUMBLING experience, I certainly have learned a ton from this great family, how strong they are together, and with what great courage they were able to keep moving forward and focus on rebuilding the future without dwelling on the past!
We all wish you the BEST OF LUCK and we THANK YOU for the opportunity to serve you and help get you to the next step in your journey.
You know that I am always on the look out to help save your hard earned money. Well here is some info I received from one of my lenders: ” a recent study showed that on average, people who use credit cards spend a third more than people who don’t.”
So if you spent a third less, it would be like getting a 33% raise. And I don’t know about you, but if I got a 33% raise, I would be ALL IN, in fact I am all in! Let me explain.
We have been victims of our own demise when it comes to this credit card thing. We have been using credit cards even when we didn’t need to and got in pretty deep. As you know, I am very transparent on these things, as I want to help you as well, I have to tell you the truth 🙂 So, we have been pretty close to maxed out on our 4 credit cards and paying about $600 per month in INTEREST CHARGES alone!!!! That is just disgusting, ridiculous, and outrageous!!! While preparing ourselves for the tax season and going through all of our expenses, we discovered how much money we were throwing out the window, on average, we were paying 22% in interest charges on these cards!!! This is aside from the fact, that as it states above, we are probably spending more than we should since we are using credit cards, and this is why….
“The study went on to say that the reason credit card users spend more money is because when they pay by credit card, it doesn’t feel like real money.” I thought about that statement for a bit and discovered it applies to me too; somehow it doesn’t feel like real money when I use my credit card, the pain isn’t as real, at least not until I see the statement and the crazy high interest fees.
So we have decided to pay off almost all of the balances, as much as we could pay off and we are on our way to reverse this crazy outrageous cycle. Now, I understand not everyone will have the funds to do this right away, for us it was just good timing as we just wrapped up our first flip project (see previous blog posts) and used some of profit from that to pay these down (arguably not necessarily the best option, as there were other possibly better options, but we will discuss those later or call me/comment below if you are curious what those might be).
So our goal is to not use any more credit cards, except one, to earn the miles it offers. BUT, even this strategy can get you right back into trouble, so we agreed to try it for 1 month, and if we can pay back every charge we put on it IMMEDIATELY! then we will continue to use it, otherwise we are going to a cash based lifestyle (not actual physical cash, but debit cards 🙂
So I have a simple challenge for you… I say “simple” because the “real” challenge would be that you follow Dave Ramsey’s advice “start paying all your credit cards off, starting with the smallest balance first and move on from there, cut up all your cards, NEVER use them again, and watch your savings grow, and then start buying rental properties with those savings, etc…” but I know that is not an easy task, therefore, I will leave that for another day or leave it up to your request, whenever you are ready, I will be happy to help with that as well (this is VERY IMPORTANT … if you decide to go that route, DO NOT CLOSE your credit cards because it could impact your credit in a negative way, CALL ME or your lender and ask for help before you do anything like that)
So the simple challenge for you, if you accept:
Let’s try for 1 whole week not to use a single credit card. I know you may think, ‘there is no way I could do that’. But my response to you is, if your boss told you that you would get a 33% raise if you didn’t use your credit card for a week, would you do it? Just a simple idea, let’s just try it for one single week.
Speaking of saving 33%, my lender also told me that he met with one of our clients for their yearly mortgage review and was able to lower their total monthly payments by $153. Now that may not seem like much, but get this, they structured the deal so they will have their home paid off 12 years early! This will save them an additional $97,456 dollars in wasted interest payments. In turn, they will be able to retire about 4-5 years sooner than originally planned. So my question for you today is this – what would you do with $97,456?
If you want to find out more or to see if this would work for you, CALL ME or your lender to set up your mortgage review soon and we can see how this strategy could apply to you. Don’t forget to ask about no closing cost loan programs that can be applied to either purchases or refinances.
So this week I have two challenges for you. First, take my challenge to save you 33% of your income by using cash instead of credit cards for 1 week. Second, let’s see if the strategy to lower your monthly mortgage payment AND pay off your house sooner could work for you.
AND AS ALWASY your referrals mean the world to me, so if you know anyone who is looking to buy or sell a home this year, I will be honored to help them 🙂
I’m looking forward to talking with you soon!
Have an amazing rest of the week!
